Let No Unwholesome Word...

Recently I was talking with a few friends about another friend of ours when an older girl entered the conversation. Immediately she pointed out how out unkind our words were. Even though we were just joking around, I realized how unnecessary and nasty what we were saying was.

Immediately Ephesians 4:29 jumped into my mind.
"Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear."

I have realized how infrequently I consider what I say about and to people. I am now striving to apply Philippians 4:8 to how and what I talk about. "Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things."

  1. You write very well.

  2. I am a grandmother and a proud one. Occasionally I stop to read the articles that these Christian teens write and I am amazed at their timely subjects and their insights.

I pray that each one will consistently let God direct them as they write such wholesome articles not only for teens but for us adults. We should never be too old to learn.

Thank you Jesus for each one of TEENS SET APART. And thank you God for allowing Savannah to be such a blessing to our family. Gram....musicalshirl@gmail.com
